ASID Colorado: Outstanding Student Member Fall 2010
Raised in Scottsbluff, NE, Jennifer Scardino grew up developing a passion for singing which took her to the University of Wyoming to study vocal music performance. She eventually changed gears and pursued a successful career in the real estate industry. In response to her love of art and architecture she recently made the bold and courageous decision to go back to school. Jennifer is now beginning her third year in the Interior Design Program at Arapahoe Community College. After exploring various avenues of interior design, she has been captivated with the idea of historical restoration and hopes to pursue this upon graduation. Because of Colorado's rich history and architectural styles Jennifer believes this is an ideal place for her niche.
In addition to serving as ACC's ASID student chapter president, she recently was elected to be the next student representative to the board for Colorado's professional ASID chapter. She recognizes the benefits of the organization and is driven to help enrich it even further. Jennifer looks forward to trying to create stronger relationships between Colorado's ASID student chapters as well as sharing the benefits she has gotten from ASID with others.
On the occasion that Jennifer manages to find free time from her busy schedule she enjoys her long-time passion of writing music and singing. She also loves to attend live concerts and shows, especially bluegrass. As she, along with countless others, appreciates Colorado's great outdoors she also finds enjoyment in camping, hiking and 4-wheeling.
Congratulations Jennifer on being chosen as the Student of the Quarter.
