Apres Design

Some folks still get their kicks on Route 66, for ASID members it will be the INTERSTATE Kitchen & Bar. Their slogan is "Comfort food, comfort hooch, comfort scene, comfort price." Sound comfy? An old red Ford pickup has been cannibalized to create a unique seating spot in the bar area. The dining space is a touch more elegant. They are trying to evoke Americana but not be a diner.

RMCYCLE

RMCYCLE is an annual charity event hosted by the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, Interior Design Department. The mission of RMCYCLE is to reflect the life changing impact that one person can have on the planet, through the promotion of sustainability through art and design, showing the community that "green is glamorous". As the event continues to mature, its mission will remain steadfast. Every year, RMCYCLE raises money for local or national charity through the auction of art objects made of recycled or sustainable materials, as well as through the auction of gift items. All proceeds this year will go directly to Architecture for Humanity, and their long term relief efforts in Haiti.
To donate art items for auction contact Elsa Dougherty at edougherty@rmcad.edu. To donate gift items or make a monetary donation contact Tina Kivalu at tkivalu@rmcad.edu. For sponsorship inquiries contract Sarah Kaplan at skaplan@rmcad.edu

Doors Open Denver

Doors Open Denver is an annual celebration of Denver’s built environment and design. The two-day event allows residents and visitors to tour the spectacular buildings they see every day but may never have entered. It allows the public to truly experience and develop a new appreciation for their home town and the facilities that comprise Denver’s rich architectural landscape. It also helps build a sense of community by opening up the doors of Denver to everyone.
