Joshua Sloan, ASID - President
Josh’s broad range of commercial design knowledge includes all project phases, from programming through construction implementation. Additional assets are his positive energy and enthusiasm for our profession. Since May 2000, he has worked as an award-winning commercial interior designer in Denver with experience on projects of all sizes. He has been a key member of the design team for CBRE corporate interiors, 1999 Broadway lobby and tenant finish as well as 17th Street Plaza lobby and INK! Coffee. Josh has an Interior Architecture degree from Kansas State.

Rosalie Ruwart, ASID - President-Elect
Rosalie Ruwart, ASID founded R M Ruwart Design out of passion for excellence in design and a high level of client service and involvement 8 years ago. Rosalie is an award winning designer with 22 years of experience doing various commercial project types from new construction to renovations. She holds dual Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in Interior Architecture and Graphic Design from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Rosalie is an officer and regular contributor to various design organizations and maintains an excellent reputation throughout the interior design industry and the Rocky Mountain Region. Rosalie's commitment to ASID over the years has included serving as a committee member for the ASID Interior Design Awards for two years before chairing the committee in 2006. She has also served as Financial Director to the Board for the last two years before being nominated as President for 2011.
Sheila Culkin, Industry Partner ASID - Professional Development Director
Sheila Culkin is an architectural specifications representative for Darant Distributing in Denver, Colorado. She has been with Darant for over 9 years. Sheila represents many lines of counter-top material, flooring and wall panels with the largest line being Wilsonart. She has actively been involved with ASID for the past 5 years. In 2005 she was volunteering her time with the Programs Committee. In 2006-07 she was co-chair of the ASID Awards Banquet Committee planning that large annual event with Wilsonart and Darant Distributing sharing a Platinum level Sponsorship. That year she was also on the ASID Nominating Committee. In 2008 Sheila proposed a new CEU Marketplace Committee and chaired that up. She is excited about her new duties as the Professional Development Director where she will be overseeing the educational CEU’s and informative, fun programs offered through ASID, CEU Marketplace Committee and the STEP Program. Sheila has also served on the Arapahoe Community College Advisory Council since 2008. Prior to working for Darant Distributing she was busy with residential design.

Jeane T. Dole, Allied Member ASID - Membership Director
Jeane is Owner/Principal of à la carte DESIGN, a full service residential interior design firm. Interior design is a long-delayed second career for Jeane. Her corporate background includes work in Human Resources, extensive Recruiting and a 10-year stint as a National Account Director, selling information technology consulting to Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies. Jeane also serves on the Board of Directors of the Associate Member Council of the HBA of Metro Denver and on the Gifting Committee of the Home Builders’ Foundation where she has a CAPS certification in accessibility. Jeane is excited to be in a profession that combines her creative and analytical skills. She is also delighted to add her energy to the ASID Colorado Chapter Board, to help advance the profession overall.

Heather Loyal, LEED AP, Allied Member ASID - Communications Director
Heather is a Sr. Designer / Project Manager at Pear Commercial Interiors. A California native, she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Interior Design, with an empahsis in Green Design, from the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design (RMCAD), Lakewood, Colorado in Spring of 2006. Heather has been active in the Colorado Chapter since her junior year, jumping right into volunteering as the Student Chapter Secretary. She has also served as the Student Chapter Membership Chair at RMCAD, Colorado Chapter's Membership Committee Profile Chair, and 3-1/2 years as the Colorado Chapter's WebSite Chair.

Kristine Rouse, ASID - Financial Oversight Director
Kristine is a Senior Interior Designer with Fentress Architects and has fourteen years experience working in the architectural and interior design profession. She has worked with clients through all phases of design including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents and administration. Her strengths include commercial space planning/design, architectural planning/drafting and 2-D renderings. Kristine also has extensive experience preparing direct contracts with vendors, ordering all FF&E, and taking responsibility for coordination of all installations including artwork, signage, window coverings, carpet and furniture.

Lynn Hegstrom, Allied Member ASID - Director-at-Large
Lynn has been with Bollinger Design Group since 1999. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from the University of Denver. Lynn’s background is in kitchen design but she has also worked in graphic design. Lynn and Pat jointly won a merit award in Kitchen Design from the ASID Interior Design Awards contest in 2003, and First Place in 2005 for Single Space/Private Use. Lynn’s work has been featured in the Decora Cabinetry calendar, August 2003 and in the 2004 sales catalog. She has been published in the Boulder Daily Camera, The Rocky Mountain News and Renew Magazine. She has earned the CAPS (Certified Aging in Place Specialist) designation. Lynn is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers.

Brittany Schwartz, ASID Student Member - Student Representative to the Board
Brittany is a senior interior design student at Colorado State University with an emphasis in Spanish. She began attending ASID events in her first two years at CSU and joined the board her junior year as the Historian. Currently still on CSU's student chapter board, she is serving as the professional liaison. Partially due to CSU's "Go Green" policy, she has become interested in sustainability and even became a LEED AP within this past year. Brittany was recently nominated for the Outstanding Senior Award for the College of Applied Human Sciences at CSU by the interior design faculty. She is excited to represent the student chapters and hopes to encourage their involvement with each other as well.
