|  | Fall 2006 Newsletter HighlightFourth Annual Festival of TradesOn June 22nd the Fourth Annual Festival of Trades was held at the showroom of Capco Tile in Denver. The event gave the opportunity to our ASID Industry Partners to have a table top showing off their best products to the event attendees. There were 26 Industry Partners at the Festival, highlighting everything from faux finish options, lighting, carpet, tile and seating. There were over 150 attendees, making for the largest Festival of Trades to date and making for a very wonderful evening.

|  | Spring 2006 Newsletter HighlightASID Winter Gala - Our Hats Off to YouSure hope you didn’t miss the fabulous Winter Gala, held January 28th! “Hats Off To You” was the theme of this year’s event to celebrate the many hats we wear as professional interior designers in Colorado. Attendees were encouraged to wear their best party hats and many were captured by Colorado Homes & Lifestylesphotographer Ian McCarty.

|  | Fall 2005 Newsletter HighlightLegislation Issues that you need to know!The Architect’s Licensing Law is going through its sunset review process. There is an open and aggressive effort by the Legislative Affairs Committee of AIA officially asking DORA to recommend repealing the Interior Designer permitting statue. This recommended change to the existing law will be challenged by the CIDC in our to preserve our position.

Walking into the Donald R. Seawall Ballroom at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, one found a stunning stage design created by Gensler’s Leah Scolere.
